Hello RSkiller readers! My name is KrazyK095 (runescape username KrazyK_95) and I’m the newest contributing author to RSkillers.info - thanks Linkbuilder!
Who am I?
Short and simple - I’m a 14 year old computer nerd. I’m British, about to go into Year 10 of secondary school and I’m a boy, as you may have probably guessed by now. Some people also claim that I have a sense of humour, would you believe it?
The catch?
No catch. Although I won’t be posting alot, because I can only play Runescape for about 20 minute per session on a good day, I like to write about the things I do on Runescape - and if you’re my level, you might like it, or have some tips for me.
I might write more sometime in Autumn/Winter, and I look forward to your comments.
What about Runescape?
I am a level 64 combat member/noob. My best skill is woodcutting, level 64 (same as my combat, lol). I might have got a few details wrong there, please forgive me for that
If I’m not “safeing” then I usually wear rune legs, granite platebody, granite maul, and a rune full helm, with the possibility of a cape. When I’m skilling, I have a variety of outfits but I usually wear light blue robes and a zamorak hood.
My worst skill is Summoning, but my least trained one is range at 14 0_o (I don’t like range)
Overall
It’s an honour to be a writer for the blog.
Thanks again Linkbuilder, and everyone here at RSkillers.info
Heres a video to show you guys how to get SwiftKit for the Mac!
A lot of RuneScape players are probably familiar with SwiftKit, and probably use it, like I did when I was a Windows users. Unfortunately, SwiftKit is not available for the Mac, but the developers have released a web app similar to SwiftKit. Now thats great, but most of us a want a desktop app! I show you how to do this now
@RoswellCrash: I find just standing at a bank sometimes the most efficient way to gain roots on RuneScape, am I the only one that logs in to do nothing?
@sterfg2: Rawr im awake and ready to slay some hellhounds for slayer 896k for 99 slayer
@Ninjalore Just got 96 Prayer and 138 Combat on Runescape! Rooooar!
And THEN, I found this great resource that was tweeted two hours before I woke up this morning…
I enjoyed reading through all of the steps, and where to train your mage levels, but the author didn’t mention the most important aspect of building your mage levels when creating a PK Pure for the Bounty Worlds!!
Last night I went out searching for Merchanting Clans on Runescape.
I just stood around the Grand Exchange in the busiest world, and watched for someone promoting a Merching Clan Chat. The first on I saw was a recommendation to join Smokin Mils Clan Chat. After I joined, the Clan leader is constantly broadcasting the items to buy-out, and the expected dump price.
Well, I went and checked the recommendations against some historical price charts - and it seems to me that it would be a mistake to follow this guru’s trading advice.
Check out the video I made - it shows you what I’m talking about!
Review of Smokin Mils, a very active Runescape Merchanting Clan!
A few days later I created the second video that CLEARLY BUSTS the Leaders of Smokin Mils Clan for stocking up on the Buy-Out-Item for days before telling the Clan about it. The Runescape Grand Exchange Merchanting Clans are used to living in the Wild West - they can get away with things that would be illegal in the real world… oh, but then again, bounty hunting to the death is be criminal in the real world too…
I was browsing the Woodcutting Guide on Sals Realm Of RuneScape a few days ago, and I was looking at the types of tree. I have never really payed attention to the Eucalyptus Tree, so when I saw it I looked into them.
They’re located a very short distance west of Oo’glog, and obviously the closest bank was in, Oo’glog - now anyone can cut Eucalyptus Logs (provided they have 58 Woodcutting), but access to the bank in Oo’glog requires a quest. Of course, the quest requires requirements, which is three other quests. So I set about the 3 quests, and completed them. I then simply had to start the quest that gives me access to the bank (As a First Resort) and I was in.
With all that done, I set about cutting Eucalyptus. And my god - I will NOT regret the time I spent doing those quests. Eucalyptus come faster than Yews, but slower than Maples (I heard somewhere) But for me they’ve been about as fast as Maples. Eucalyptus are worth about the same as Yews, and as I said before, cut about the same speed as Maples (at least for me, 79 Woodcutting) How good is that? Great XP As well, providing just 10XP less than Yews.
And just to make it EVEN better - for all you summoners with your Beast Of Burdens there is a summoning point recharge spot right next to the trees.
Now you say “Well, whats the catch?” Well, if you call it a catch, then its this; On the way to the trees, there is an Ogress who pummels you on your way to the trees. Once your behind the trees, she cannot get you. This is bad for skillers, since she usually hits between 5-9 on me, and I’m level 50 defense. Then again, if your a skiller, you wont be able to complete the quests to access the bank ^ . ^
Thanks for reading!

Why do I hate spending useless time running around?? I shouldn’t have to answer that.
All Fired Up
So I’m doing this easy Quest. All Fired Up. And I go to a Quest Walk Through, because the game tells me “Blaze is stationed south of the entrance to the Temple of Paterdomus, north east of Varrock” - and I’m like… where is *that*?
When I get to the RuneHQ All Fired Up Quest Walk Through, I read the details - and they tell me ‘Blaze is stationed south of the entrance to the Temple of Paterdomus. ‘ and that Squire Fyre is ‘located west of the starting point for Rag and Bone Man quest’
Bloody awesome. Where the h3ck *is* that :-/ Don’t you love small-town directions? People live in their town so long that they don’t know the names of the streets anymore, they give directions like - ‘across from where John crashed his truck - you know, beside the Smith’s house…’ - completely not helpful.
After some wandering, I talk to four different NPC’s who are tending fire beacons North and east of Varrock. The first three are no help and the fourth one gives me the SAME info I’ve gotten everywhere else. I tried to kill her even though I know she is in a later part of the quest…
I want to find this place and get through this quest. I’ve been wandering around for twenty minutes - I need more Quest Help. So I go to Runescape.com and look for a link to a World Map. That’s a quest in itself… but finally I get a recent World Map and find out where the Temple of Paterdomus is located.
In Game Map
Later, I found the in-game map of Runescape - that made things MUCH easier! That’s an awesome upgrade.
Custom Map For All Fired Up Quest
But I think the Quest Walk Through for All Fired Up would have been more help if it would have included a Quest Map that showed you where to walk, as well as teaching you the names and the Lore of the areas. So - I created one. Click it for a larger image.
This really is a super-easy quest. Once you know where to go!
Blaze Sharpeye gets mesmerized buy the pretty flames!
Squire Fyre
Well, when I returned and met Squire Fyre - I thought she was one of the HOTTEST Runescape NPC’s I’ve seen. There is a lass who is a Music Appreciator, down by Draynor Bank that is also pretty sweet… But, I just had to take a moment and show Squire Fyre some appreciation…
King Roald - All Business
No messing around with the King - but I did have to remind him about the Reward…
gosh I hate being hired, doing the work… then have to ask to be paid.
Here’s the Quest Rewards for All Fired Up
Pretty basic, but also quick and easy.
Now I almost hate to ask, but what does Full Access To The Beacon Network actually mean to me as a player?
That’s another Quest Completed.
Now - back to the Grand Exchange - a few of my trades have gone through…
With MechScape on the horizon, I have recently been wondering where RuneScape will stand in a years time…
At last years E3 (2008) Jagex confirmed a new MMO was in the works. This, turns out to be MechScape. So with MechScape out, what will Jagex do with RuneScape? I doubt they’ll stop developing for RuneScape, however, RuneScape will loose players to MechScape. Sure this isn’t a downfall for Jagex, but it is for players of RuneScape. We’ll see dramatic changes to the community of RuneScape, for better or for worse? Who knows, I can only give opinions….
I think the RuneScape community will become smaller, and therefore better for it. How you ask? Simple. MechScape will get the people who are less loyal players, and therefore RuneScape will be a game with its loyal players playing happily…. I hope.
When MechScape comes out I’ll certainly give it a go, but in my eyes RuneScape will always be #1.
No one knows the fate, only God Andrew…. I mean Mod Andrew…
Note: The banner is not an official MechScape Banner, its something I made in Photoshop =P
