Hey guys, Geomagman here! So in this post I'm going to give you my thoughts on the updates that took place in RuneScape on May 27th 2009. Nothing drastic happened, but the game received a few graphical updates, and I figured since I think they're pretty cool, I'll get out a blog post on them!

Hitpoints bar + Splats.

Well, I don't know about you but I always thought the hit splats looked awful. I also thought that the hitpoint bar, was quite hard to determine how much HP was actually left on your enemy, especially with bosses.

Well, Jagex have addressed that in the updates, and give us new looks to both the hitpoint bar, and splats. The hitpoint bar does look slightly cartoony, but I do find it easier to read now, also Jagex have extended the bar for monsters with 200HP or more, so its easier to read, when fighting things with 200HP+ such as bosses.

Dungeons Maps

WOOOT! FINALLY Jagex have put this into the map! Ever since the world map has been accessible in game, I have wanted this, and jagex have finally give us it! Not much to say here other than it should have already been there!

So, those are my thoughts on the updates, I give the updates a 5/5, I don't really see anything wrong with them, and they certainly enhance gameplay!
